Liz is a contemporary artist living and working in South West Ireland. She is interested in different subject matter but focuses mainly on portraiture.
Liz is now concentrating on the ancient medium of egg tempera. This is a highly detailed technique involving building up layers of semi-transparent colour mixed with egg yolk which creates works with a unique luminescence and opalescence.
She feels that the medium is perfectly suited to portraiture as it creates a feeling of intimacy, fragility and depth.
Liz's work has been exhibited in many exhibitions in Ireland, most notably in the National Gallery of Ireland and the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork
